00:00:05.870 --> 00:00:11.990
You know, if a bunch of us can get together just to help our communities and whatnot, that's great.

00:00:12.839 --> 00:00:22.329
But as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's like minded people, like minded people, people will think like I think.

00:00:23.600 --> 00:00:45.042
Have a most likely a biblical worldview like I think If not, I don't see how two can walk together unless they agree And I don't think that we all can just get together just because we have the same mount in it Man to Man 360 starts in 3, 2, 1.

00:00:45.042 --> 00:00:52.200
You've tuned in to Man to Man 360.

00:00:52.320 --> 00:00:55.460
The show for men, by men, dealing with all subjects.

00:00:55.539 --> 00:01:04.069
The twist here is we come from a Biblical worldview to encourage and empower men to make it in life through the power of Jesus Christ.

00:01:04.069 --> 00:01:20.939
Alright, real talk, chopping it up, men talking about everything you're talking about, sometimes it's cool, and sometimes it's hidden.

00:01:22.780 --> 00:01:25.239
This is Man to Man.

00:01:30.780 --> 00:01:33.989
Hey, welcome to a brand new episode of man, a man three 60.

00:01:34.019 --> 00:01:38.569
And of course I am your host, Daryl Anderson, and I have an interesting.

00:01:39.454 --> 00:01:47.995
An exciting episode for you today, tonight, this morning, and it's coinciding with Black History Month.

00:01:48.415 --> 00:01:58.135
And to be honest with you, there was a clip, a social media clip my brother has sent me, one of my brothers had sent me, and I shared it with some guys.

00:01:58.665 --> 00:02:10.664
And there was some debate on this and I want to share this with you, the clip and the debate, and then see where you fall in this conversation.

00:02:10.735 --> 00:02:12.294
I'm not really going for sides or not.

00:02:12.305 --> 00:02:15.014
I'm going to, of course, show you my side, but I think this.

00:02:15.659 --> 00:02:20.979
Debate is bigger than just with a few guys, a couple of guys that was debating with this.

00:02:21.680 --> 00:02:31.030
I think it goes to a bigger point of things that you've seen or heard us talk about on this show and on this platform.

00:02:31.465 --> 00:03:00.405
Probably within the last couple of weeks, last few months, and even in the last several years from the beginning, we've had a lot of these same conversations, whether we were in disagreement or in agreement with others that were on at the time, but this has always been the direction and the ideology and which I thought, or should I say, in which the way I think, and I believe it to be is.

00:03:00.735 --> 00:03:13.754
The right way that we should think and I'll explain this all in just a second, but what I'm going to do is I'm going to play the clip that I received and that I'd shared that created all the discussion.

00:03:14.395 --> 00:03:19.384
But before we go there, just want to remind you guys to go to man to man 360.

00:03:19.444 --> 00:03:22.425
com that's man, the number two man 360.

00:03:22.455 --> 00:03:27.854
com and there's where you can actually follow the show, share the show.

00:03:28.324 --> 00:03:34.125
And go to old episodes, previous seasons, previous years, and all that good stuff.

00:03:34.525 --> 00:03:39.094
Catch any videos, go to our social medias and all that kind of good stuff.

00:03:39.185 --> 00:03:41.025
And also let us know what you think about the show.

00:03:41.405 --> 00:03:42.405
That's a really good spot.

00:03:43.104 --> 00:03:49.025
Also, if you subscribe to the podcast, you get to go into the show notes.

00:03:49.044 --> 00:03:52.384
And at the bottom of that, you'll see a thing that says text and it'll actually.

00:03:53.485 --> 00:04:00.955
So I'm going to text me and you can there let us know what you think about the show or that particular episode or whatever else.

00:04:00.974 --> 00:04:02.224
So, so good stuff.

00:04:02.224 --> 00:04:04.004
So let's get ready to go in.

00:04:04.044 --> 00:04:07.865
I want to play the video that I got.

00:04:08.365 --> 00:04:10.474
I'm not even really sure what the guy's name is.

00:04:10.474 --> 00:04:13.205
I'll put more notes, information in the podcast.

00:04:13.205 --> 00:04:21.435
I'm not going to try to share a lot of information about the individual here, but I will put it in the podcast notes, at least to give him credit.

00:04:22.014 --> 00:04:29.274
And I'll let you follow up guys follow up from there, but here goes, let me go ahead and play the video or play the audio clip.

00:04:31.125 --> 00:04:34.204
Now reread the quote from the father of black history.

00:04:34.245 --> 00:04:38.485
Now, the highly educated Negroes who have studied economics will say.

00:04:38.625 --> 00:04:46.875
That the Negro cannot succeed in business because their professors who have never had a moment's experience in this fear have written accordingly.

00:04:46.954 --> 00:04:57.254
The inpatient, highly educated Negroes therefore say that since under the present system of capitalism, the Negro has no chance to toil upward in this economic sphere.

00:04:57.514 --> 00:05:04.305
The only hope for bettering his condition in this respect is through socialism, the overthrow of the present economic regime.

00:05:04.355 --> 00:05:08.665
This thought is gaining ground among Negroes in this country and is wrong.

00:05:08.805 --> 00:05:13.225
rapidly sweeping them into the ranks of what are commonly known as communists.

00:05:13.245 --> 00:05:23.285
The uneducated Negro businessman, however, is actually at work doing the very thing which the miss educated Negro has been taught to believe cannot be done.

00:05:23.334 --> 00:05:34.384
If the highly educated Negro would forget most of his untried theories, taught him in school, if he could see through the propaganda, which has been instilled in his mind under the pretext of education.

00:05:34.774 --> 00:05:38.105
So what the father of black history is saying is that the belief.

00:05:38.529 --> 00:05:48.279
That you can't succeed in America because of the white power structure and that you need to overthrow capitalism in order to succeed is propaganda disguised as education.

00:05:48.839 --> 00:05:53.269
Who else did I say wanted to reach us with propaganda disguised as education?

00:05:53.430 --> 00:06:01.170
In order that the Negro may be reached with education and propaganda, and that he may be organized for activity, the following methods are recommended.

00:06:01.500 --> 00:06:05.420
Nuclei shall be established in all existing Negro organizations.

00:06:05.670 --> 00:06:10.399
Colored organizers and speakers shall be sent among Negroes in order to inform them and win their confidence.

00:06:10.410 --> 00:06:16.189
Friendship of liberal minded Negro ministers shall be sought as these men are at the present time.

00:06:16.444 --> 00:06:27.095
The leaders of the Negro masses, the party shall penetrate existing forms, literary societies, lyceums, schools, colleges, teachers, institutes, et cetera, of the colored people.

00:06:27.519 --> 00:06:32.740
And establish forms of its own for the enlightenment of the Negro population.

00:06:33.000 --> 00:06:36.019
Who do you think wanted to do this all the way back in 1922?

00:06:36.399 --> 00:06:37.740
Soviet communists.

00:06:38.310 --> 00:06:41.279
It was the communists that wanted to do this the entire time.

00:06:41.389 --> 00:06:47.149
It was their goal to reach us with education and propaganda so that we can be used for their purpose.

00:06:47.560 --> 00:06:48.500
The question is.

00:06:48.805 --> 00:06:49.845
Did it work?

00:06:50.185 --> 00:06:59.074
This thought is gaining ground among Negroes in this country and is rapidly sweeping them into the ranks of what are commonly known as communists.

00:06:59.095 --> 00:06:59.975
Thank you for watching.

00:06:59.975 --> 00:07:00.884
I'll see you on the next one.

00:07:00.884 --> 00:07:01.235
Peace.

00:07:02.404 --> 00:07:15.235
So a couple of things that, first of all, the person that he was speaking about is the founder of, or known as the father of black history or the father of black history week.

00:07:15.384 --> 00:07:17.235
That's what it originally started as.

00:07:17.545 --> 00:07:22.574
And then it later on changed to Black History Month is Carter G.

00:07:22.894 --> 00:07:23.375
Woodson.

00:07:23.845 --> 00:07:27.555
Well, well, he lived from 1875 to 1950.

00:07:28.084 --> 00:07:31.625
But anyway, so let's just jump right into his story a little bit here.

00:07:31.625 --> 00:07:54.644
He focused primarily on advocating for the study and recognition of African American history and achievements aiming to achieve racial equality through education while Socialism is a social, I'm sorry, it's a political economic system that aims for collective ownership of the means of production and a more equitable distribution of wealth.

00:07:54.915 --> 00:07:58.235
He actually was in contrary to socialism.

00:07:58.235 --> 00:08:22.610
And that's one of the reasons when you do a little bit of digging, you find out that he created black history week and then black history month for the purpose of showing The achievements black people had risen to without socialism and without government involvement.

00:08:23.560 --> 00:08:33.299
That's really the essence of what he was talking about here now in black people don't typically use this particular phrase.

00:08:33.889 --> 00:08:38.460
Cause you've heard this sometimes out there, it's called rugged individualism.

00:08:38.460 --> 00:08:45.799
It's the belief that people are independent and can succeed on their own with minimal government assistance.

00:08:45.799 --> 00:08:49.980
And it emphasizes personal liberty, self reliance and free competition.

00:08:50.590 --> 00:09:01.710
Now one would say that that's nearly impossible if you're black to have free competition and you know, with, with minimal or any government assistance.

00:09:03.080 --> 00:09:31.820
The problem with that, though, is then you hadn't done your research or your history or know your history in the area of what you've heard me talk about this just a couple of weeks ago, black Wall Streets, which were several throughout the country in the 19 or the 1800s into the 1940s is about when they start to fizzle away because at that time you could not get it.

00:09:31.820 --> 00:09:31.827
Right.

00:09:31.827 --> 00:09:31.835
Yeah.

00:09:32.225 --> 00:09:41.044
Any assistance from the government at that time very minimal of any, and you definitely couldn't rely on them.

00:09:41.534 --> 00:09:54.605
And so with that said, they, these individuals, especially whether you use Tulsa, Oklahoma or there were several throughout the country, they relied on each other.

00:09:55.544 --> 00:09:55.924
Now.

00:09:57.034 --> 00:10:08.075
Where the debate started with the guys that I'd sent this video to was that they did agree to some degree on what was being said.

00:10:08.075 --> 00:10:17.164
They just felt that, you know, we all needed to get together and if we get together and we agree, then we can make things happen.

00:10:17.804 --> 00:10:23.804
The problem with that is you're still relying on somebody else.

00:10:24.875 --> 00:10:35.664
You're still constantly believing that everybody to some degree is some kind of monolith that you have to all agree and come together.

00:10:35.745 --> 00:10:39.274
And that's a problem because if that's the case, then that's never going to happen.

00:10:39.274 --> 00:10:46.274
There's a reason why it hasn't happened to at this point yet because everybody's not the same.

00:10:47.164 --> 00:10:54.014
And, and I talked about this a couple of weeks ago when I said that it's funny that it seems like.

00:10:55.100 --> 00:11:08.440
Other groups, white or whoever, get the privilege of being individual and deciding and choosing on what they want to be and what they want to do and what they want to believe in and how they vote and everything else.

00:11:09.000 --> 00:11:14.009
But yet black people don't get the privilege and it's not because anyone else isn't giving it to them.

00:11:14.299 --> 00:11:19.190
It's because we believe within our, in some of our own small groups.

00:11:19.725 --> 00:11:24.855
That we should all think the same, do the same, vote the same, and everything else.

00:11:25.554 --> 00:11:34.554
That's why it's, it's sort of small minded to think that we all need to come together and that we should all agree to be successful.

00:11:35.524 --> 00:11:39.625
If you look at Wall Street, the black Wall Street, that didn't happen that way.

00:11:40.735 --> 00:11:52.004
Instead what you read, when you read About what had happened in Tulsa and some of these other places with Gurley O.

00:11:52.004 --> 00:11:52.325
W.

00:11:52.325 --> 00:11:58.274
Gurley and some of these other individuals who established these other black Wall Streets.

00:11:58.274 --> 00:12:05.875
You find out that they were looking for like minded people, like minded black people to.

00:12:06.315 --> 00:12:14.875
Create these towns and cities and neighborhoods, and it was not looking for everybody to come together into a group.

00:12:16.985 --> 00:12:30.960
So again, it looks like black people don't always get the same privilege within our own community to be individual or better yet, you know, because we are not a monolith.

00:12:31.370 --> 00:12:45.899
Let the group because we think differently and we have a variety of different thoughts and different Independent thinkers and whatnot you you know in the case of black wall streets.

00:12:45.940 --> 00:12:55.335
There are people who are like minded who want to build They didn't want to rely on anyone else, but themselves individually and those who thought like them.

00:12:55.855 --> 00:13:00.475
And that's how they built these these basically cities and successful communities.

00:13:01.544 --> 00:13:03.485
And in some cases, empires, right?

00:13:04.254 --> 00:13:07.375
But there were people who, who would rather.

00:13:08.019 --> 00:13:17.279
Go back and rely on maybe former slave masters, maybe a government or whoever to help them.

00:13:17.600 --> 00:13:19.960
Even though they knew they wasn't going to get that kind of help.

00:13:21.059 --> 00:13:22.350
We'll pick up from there.

00:13:22.965 --> 00:13:23.985
Right after this.

00:13:34.254 --> 00:13:35.394
How many ready for the man cave?

00:13:35.404 --> 00:13:39.554
Yeah! The man cave is developed around, we call it the five pillars.

00:13:39.644 --> 00:13:51.414
There's praise and worship, where we sing a song or two, and really just, invite the presence of God in, get the guys singing and clapping and whatever, and really make a push on getting guys into the music.

00:13:51.534 --> 00:13:58.034
Because typically guys like to avoid praise, or lifting of hands or singing and that type of stuff, so we really put a focus on that.

00:13:58.580 --> 00:14:02.350
And then we go right in from that into prayer, you know, intercession prayer.

00:14:02.350 --> 00:14:09.720
We ask guys if there's certain things that they want us to pray for, to agree with them in prayer for, and we make sure to focus it on them.

00:14:09.740 --> 00:14:12.149
Sometimes guys will say, Hey, listen, I got this neighbor.

00:14:12.370 --> 00:14:13.179
Can you pray for them?

00:14:13.179 --> 00:14:14.389
And we're like, no, no, no, no.

00:14:14.389 --> 00:14:16.669
We want to know what is it that you need prayer for?

00:14:16.669 --> 00:14:18.529
Because, because you're the neighbor.

00:14:18.799 --> 00:14:20.220
That's your job to pray for your neighbor.

00:14:21.100 --> 00:14:24.110
From there, we actually go into the competition part.

00:14:24.120 --> 00:14:26.179
Now that's the exciting part of the man cave.

00:14:26.259 --> 00:14:27.909
It just creates that competitive.

00:14:29.460 --> 00:14:32.769
But it gets that testosterone, bubbling up and everything else.

00:14:32.769 --> 00:14:34.169
And there's a reason to that, really, too.

00:14:34.429 --> 00:14:37.200
I've been doing men's ministry now for almost 30 years.

00:14:37.529 --> 00:14:41.860
A lot of times, men don't really have those men focused things at churches.

00:14:41.870 --> 00:14:53.524
So, in some cases, the guys, it can feel a little, Feminine or emasculating in some cases and and because of that we want to make sure that there's a Masculine feel to men's fellowship.

00:14:53.745 --> 00:14:54.725
It's both fun.

00:14:55.115 --> 00:14:55.875
It's inviting.

00:14:56.174 --> 00:15:08.200
It's also used as a fish bait to get guys out The other reason that we do competition is so we can create two teams And in creating two teams, we create a camaraderie between those guys.

00:15:08.200 --> 00:15:10.200
They stay on those teams for the duration.

00:15:10.379 --> 00:15:12.590
You don't go from second Friday to second Friday.

00:15:12.799 --> 00:15:15.289
No, you're contacting guys in between.

00:15:15.330 --> 00:15:16.490
Guys are able to reach out.

00:15:16.559 --> 00:15:19.309
Guys are able to, Hey man, I'm really dealing with this thing.

00:15:19.320 --> 00:15:20.240
I'm struggling with this thing.

00:15:20.240 --> 00:15:21.710
So they can reach out to somebody.

00:15:22.740 --> 00:15:25.740
We go from the competition part and then we go into the work.

00:15:25.820 --> 00:15:27.110
We go into scripture.

00:15:27.190 --> 00:15:31.440
We do some teaching and then we break out into breakout groups.

00:15:31.919 --> 00:15:34.019
The breakout groups allows guys to.

00:15:34.019 --> 00:15:39.539
People, answer some things or share their thoughts on those same tough topics that was just preached a few minutes ago.

00:15:40.470 --> 00:15:42.240
The word is a two edged sword.

00:15:42.240 --> 00:15:43.149
It cuts open things.

00:15:43.190 --> 00:15:45.629
It exposes us to ourselves, at least.

00:15:46.269 --> 00:15:50.205
what's really happening on the inside or the things we've been trying to cover up and hide.

00:15:51.284 --> 00:15:53.934
and then we break from there and then we, we eat.

00:15:54.095 --> 00:15:58.355
That's a great time to be able to dive in and just really see how guys are doing.

00:15:59.815 --> 00:16:02.304
Pastors and churches don't have a men's ministry.

00:16:02.764 --> 00:16:06.184
You're missing out on the opportunity to.

00:16:06.674 --> 00:16:08.264
Free that man from that thing.

00:16:08.274 --> 00:16:11.554
He's been trapped in that, that stronghold has been in his life.

00:16:11.914 --> 00:16:17.565
In his ministry allows him to be free, vulnerable, and then free.

00:16:52.855 --> 00:17:01.375
Go back to this audio clip was about the educated versus the uneducated and the educated were those who were.

00:17:01.894 --> 00:17:21.184
You know, not just higher education, but most of these people were people that were taught through a communist and socialist schools and mindsets and ideologies and propaganda in school systems to think differently.

00:17:21.184 --> 00:17:26.005
And they wanted black people in lots of cases to become either communist.

00:17:26.410 --> 00:17:39.410
Or socialist, and that's why you've heard a lot about this in the, what the, the twenties, the thirties, the forties, the fifties, even the sixties, even when Martin Luther King was around, a lot of that was trying to find out if he is one.

00:17:39.410 --> 00:17:45.269
And we sort of discovered that he had been trained by communists and Marxists.

00:17:45.789 --> 00:18:04.859
Now, whether he was self proclaimed or not I'm not, I don't remember if he called himself or he was denying it for the most part, but that it was proven that he plotted with them, trained by them, surrounded by them and didn't deny them.

00:18:04.920 --> 00:18:14.460
So it sort of makes you think that he knew that he was probably either communist or socialist or in that arena and didn't want to let that go.

00:18:14.859 --> 00:18:27.849
So there was different times in history where, you know, the FBI was looking into him, even president Kennedy at the time was looking into that and was trying to befriend him in that area and help him out.

00:18:28.119 --> 00:18:33.630
But once you realize, Hey, listen, you know, if you're with these communists, you might want to back off.

00:18:33.630 --> 00:18:34.400
And when he didn't.

00:18:34.875 --> 00:18:45.815
That was sort of proving that either A, he was ignorant of who he was surrounded by, or he was completely aware of who he was with and and the direction they were going in.

00:18:46.434 --> 00:19:00.325
So, I say all that to say, because when we went over that audio clip about the educated versus the uneducated, and it was the thought that we all need to come together and all that.

00:19:01.440 --> 00:19:06.789
You know, where I pushed back was that I didn't believe that we all needed to come, come together.

00:19:08.720 --> 00:19:16.210
I did a show, what, a couple of weeks ago, asking, do black people need a leader?

00:19:17.160 --> 00:19:19.579
You know, does there need to be a leader of the black community?

00:19:20.059 --> 00:19:27.279
And that was sort of going against the fact that we need to be herded, like herds of cows or sheep or whatever.

00:19:27.859 --> 00:19:33.829
And so that goes to the conversations, well, why do we have to all think?

00:19:34.880 --> 00:19:38.180
Think the same way and follow the same path.

00:19:38.759 --> 00:19:40.960
And if you don't, then something's wrong with you.

00:19:41.579 --> 00:19:50.970
But see these people, the black wall street guys, the guys that were successful in breaking away, didn't seek outside help.

00:19:50.980 --> 00:19:55.480
They had that, what we call the somewhat rugged individualism.

00:19:55.559 --> 00:19:58.940
Perhaps you can call it that, or you might say that they were.

00:19:59.869 --> 00:20:10.319
More entrepreneurial or whatever you want to call that, but they got with like minded others like themselves and that's where we saw a lot of success.

00:20:11.160 --> 00:20:23.289
There is another thing that sort of came up with them is, so these guys were saying, well, you know, you can't just do things by yourself.

00:20:23.289 --> 00:20:26.470
You need to be with others or be working with others.

00:20:26.529 --> 00:20:27.759
And I agree with that.

00:20:28.490 --> 00:20:32.259
The only thing that I was saying was that I think you need to be with like minded people.

00:20:32.259 --> 00:20:53.170
You just don't get together and, and base everything on your melanin because if it was only on melanin and getting together, why hadn't we as a whole, if that's the case, if, if that, if, if their belief was that that's how it works, why hadn't we at a whole gotten anywhere beyond where we are to now?

00:20:53.559 --> 00:20:59.619
I mean, today, because we've already gotten together, we were already melanated, that's already there.

00:20:59.619 --> 00:21:07.880
It is what more can you do except for ask for more government assistance, ask for more help.

00:21:09.259 --> 00:21:16.809
But with that, one of the thoughts I had thrown out there, matter of fact, let me read specifically the thought that I was thinking.

00:21:21.420 --> 00:21:22.910
I, I I asked.

00:21:23.319 --> 00:21:39.619
If, if we should be concerned about, especially as believers, should we be concerned about getting together based on our melanin or trusting God?

00:21:42.079 --> 00:21:45.319
I want to take you to a couple of quick places here.

00:21:46.160 --> 00:21:49.180
The first one is in 1 Samuel chapter 8.

00:21:50.400 --> 00:21:55.119
And in this chapter this chapter is titled Israel asked for a king.

00:21:55.759 --> 00:22:03.059
I'm going to read I think I'm going to start in verse five and they said to him, you are old and your sons do not follow your ways.

00:22:03.450 --> 00:22:08.900
Now appoint a king to lead us such as the other nations have in verse six.

00:22:08.900 --> 00:22:12.400
But when they, they said, give us a king to lead us.

00:22:12.785 --> 00:22:15.194
This displeased Samuel, which was the prophet.

00:22:15.605 --> 00:22:21.015
So he prayed to the Lord, and the Lord told him, Listen to all that the people are saying to you.

00:22:21.464 --> 00:22:35.615
It is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king, as they have done from the day I brought them out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods.

00:22:35.914 --> 00:22:48.369
So they are doing to you, Now listen to them, but warn them solemnly, and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.

00:22:49.130 --> 00:22:54.190
So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king.

00:22:54.650 --> 00:23:00.460
And he said, this is what the king, who will reign over you, will claim as his rights.

00:23:00.799 --> 00:23:05.130
He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses.

00:23:05.690 --> 00:23:20.700
They will run in front of his chariots, and some he will assign to the commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties and others to plow the ground and to reap his harvest, and still others make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.

00:23:21.289 --> 00:23:32.190
He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers, and he will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants.

00:23:32.549 --> 00:23:36.140
He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to you.

00:23:37.039 --> 00:23:41.210
To his officials and attendants, your male and female servants.

00:23:41.970 --> 00:23:46.269
And the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use.

00:23:46.940 --> 00:23:51.599
He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves.

00:23:52.410 --> 00:24:00.775
When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.

00:24:01.404 --> 00:24:04.674
The people refused to listen to Samuel.

00:24:04.704 --> 00:24:07.605
No, they said, we want a king over us.

00:24:08.174 --> 00:24:15.684
Then we will be like all the other nations with the king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.

00:24:15.684 --> 00:24:23.515
And when Samuel heard that the people said he He repented it before, I'm sorry, he repeated it before the Lord.

00:24:23.545 --> 00:24:27.015
The Lord answered, listen to them and give them a king.

00:24:27.025 --> 00:24:31.845
Then Samuel said to Israelites, everyone go back to your own town.

00:24:33.454 --> 00:24:35.295
They didn't want to.

00:24:36.990 --> 00:24:42.309
Follow the Lord in in Jeremiah 29, 11, he states for, I know the plans I have for you.

00:24:42.309 --> 00:24:53.049
This is God talking to us or at least talking to to Israel at that time declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and a future.

00:24:53.490 --> 00:24:55.329
That sounds like a good, good plan.

00:24:55.829 --> 00:24:58.190
First Corinthians two and nine, what no.

00:24:58.549 --> 00:25:25.609
What no eye has seen or ear heard nor the heart of man imagine what God has prepared for those who love him Psalms 139 and 16 your eyes saw my Well, I don't want that one Psalms 32 and 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you shall go and I will counsel you with my Eye upon you.

00:25:25.990 --> 00:25:43.884
So here We see that God is trying to direct His people, God is giving them a picture and a painting of vision and future and a bright future and a hope and plans and letting them know, I don't want you harmed.

00:25:43.884 --> 00:25:45.994
I want you to prosper and be successful.

00:25:46.835 --> 00:25:48.724
So who do you follow, right?

00:25:48.734 --> 00:25:51.335
Do we follow the Lord or do we follow a king?

00:25:51.865 --> 00:25:58.825
When you're going after the government for your help, you're actually seeking for a king and we have to be very careful of that.

00:25:59.285 --> 00:26:04.974
As believers guys, you listening to this most likely 99.

00:26:05.035 --> 00:26:11.565
9 percent of the time, if you're listening here, you will most likely a believer, you will follow of Jesus Christ.

00:26:12.214 --> 00:26:14.555
You were born again, your savior, a Christian.

00:26:15.194 --> 00:26:17.275
And if that'd be the case, be careful.

00:26:17.315 --> 00:26:19.424
I know probably everybody here.

00:26:20.329 --> 00:26:24.619
Or at least a good chunk of you are men and a good chunk of you are black men.

00:26:24.650 --> 00:26:29.420
You could be Puerto Rican and other things like other, other groups like that, but you're probably black men.

00:26:30.089 --> 00:26:36.880
And if that'd be the case, and as a believer, you can chase after skin to skin.

00:26:36.950 --> 00:26:44.799
In other words, you, you chase a melanated men to help melanated men or people get out of.

00:26:45.315 --> 00:26:46.825
melanated problems.

00:26:47.694 --> 00:26:54.914
And some people may be into that, but has that worked so far?

00:26:56.625 --> 00:27:03.545
Or we can trust in the Lord because if He has a plan, He has a, He wants to prosper us.

00:27:03.545 --> 00:27:06.555
He wants to give us hope in the future.

00:27:07.005 --> 00:27:11.174
I think I'd rather say, I see, I can trust Him and His works.

00:27:11.599 --> 00:27:13.569
His might be more, a little bit more individual.

00:27:13.990 --> 00:27:16.519
I won't call it individual rugged individuals.

00:27:16.519 --> 00:27:17.529
I won't call it that.

00:27:18.009 --> 00:27:19.569
I'm just going to call it trusting in the Lord.

00:27:19.900 --> 00:27:23.160
And then we can always help others and help help one another.

00:27:23.740 --> 00:27:27.930
But I have a problem bowing down and begging.

00:27:28.849 --> 00:27:48.730
Really anyone, but especially the government or some system to give me some cookies and crumbs versus just really seeking the Lord on any of this because if the Lord don't build the house the labor is in vain and so I would Listen, you're gonna do what you want to do that.

00:27:48.740 --> 00:27:59.880
That's not the way I want to go You know, if a bunch of us can get together just to help our communities and whatnot, that's great.

00:28:00.740 --> 00:28:17.690
But as, as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's like minded people, like minded people, people who think like I think have most likely a biblical worldview, like I think if not, I don't see how two can walk together unless they agree.

00:28:18.589 --> 00:28:23.069
And I don't think that we all can just get together just because of the same melanin.

00:28:25.345 --> 00:28:43.365
When you go back to that original clip of Black History Month and about the educated versus the non educated, the non, by the way, if you listen to the clip and if you know anything about that, the situation that Carter B.

00:28:43.365 --> 00:28:48.644
Woodson was talking about, the non educated were the businessmen, the farmers, the farmers.

00:28:49.005 --> 00:29:02.605
And those who made things happen most, most of the time, those guys were super successful, but they didn't go through a Harvard or they wasn't trying to be the first Harvard or the first doctorate or any of that stuff.

00:29:02.625 --> 00:29:15.035
And that's all nice and cute, but these people put their hand to work and they had some successful, like I said, they lived a successful life, even in the 1800s and the 1900 early 1900s.

00:29:17.210 --> 00:29:20.450
So, who do you trust?

00:29:21.480 --> 00:29:29.309
If you're a black man listening today, if you're a young black man listening today, who do you trust?

00:29:29.910 --> 00:29:30.890
That's the question.

00:29:32.819 --> 00:29:48.400
Do you get together and get a bunch of people together, how you can overthrow capitalism going to socialism mind in the 2020, 2020, we talked about this on earlier episodes and early season of our podcast, you know, when black lives matter was out, that was a Marxist organization.

00:29:48.730 --> 00:29:55.079
These were Marxist and socialist organizations out led by women, specifically black lesbian women.

00:29:55.640 --> 00:29:57.650
So is that what you want to follow?

00:29:57.690 --> 00:29:59.440
Is that, is that, is that your lead?

00:30:00.549 --> 00:30:01.559
Is that your king?

00:30:03.039 --> 00:30:04.940
Many of us chose not to follow that.

00:30:05.059 --> 00:30:17.710
Many of us chose not to even acknowledge that stuff because we knew, we knew from the, from the jump before, before it even got out, we knew that that thing was rotten to the core.

00:30:19.460 --> 00:30:19.869
We knew it.

00:30:19.910 --> 00:30:21.359
We saw it.

00:30:22.660 --> 00:30:26.849
I've done the podcast and the shows from, from season one, right from the beginning.

00:30:28.269 --> 00:30:30.670
I didn't wait for somebody else to have to tell me this.

00:30:30.670 --> 00:30:31.250
We knew.

00:30:31.805 --> 00:30:34.904
And many of the guys that from the All Stars agreed.

00:30:36.154 --> 00:30:40.694
Now, some of them didn't know at first, but ultimately, we, I believe they all agreed.

00:30:40.724 --> 00:30:41.414
We all agreed.

00:30:41.825 --> 00:30:45.974
So, now, if all of us are doing something together, then okay, I'll roll with them.

00:30:46.305 --> 00:30:53.954
I'm not rolling with everybody else that's doing the Black Lives Matter thing and say her name and say his name and we're going to tear down this system.

00:30:53.964 --> 00:30:54.605
We're going to do that.

00:30:54.605 --> 00:30:55.734
Nah, I'm not getting with all that.

00:30:56.835 --> 00:30:59.075
Most of those people are atheists anyway and hate God.

00:30:59.525 --> 00:31:03.785
We played the episodes back then that they were saying F Jesus back then.

00:31:04.615 --> 00:31:06.605
I'm not, I don't get with people like that.

00:31:07.964 --> 00:31:16.994
But if Jeremiah 29 says, for I know the plans I have for you to declare the declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you.

00:31:17.305 --> 00:31:19.345
Plans to give you a hope and a future.

00:31:19.944 --> 00:31:21.384
That's what I'd rather follow.

00:31:22.335 --> 00:31:23.664
That's what I'd rather follow.

00:31:23.664 --> 00:31:32.894
The person who said that God himself said that my heavenly father, that's who I would rather follow for any success.

00:31:32.914 --> 00:31:46.625
I'd rather have not, I'd rather not have any success at all and have peace and be in right alignment with God than to have all those things.

00:31:52.875 --> 00:31:55.994
I just think we need to think twice about some of that stuff.

00:31:55.994 --> 00:31:57.315
I'm going to get ready to wrap this up.

00:31:58.125 --> 00:32:05.345
That was just a thought that was going on that I was thinking about all week because of the clip what I was, as I was watching that video and whatnot.

00:32:05.434 --> 00:32:11.184
So the theme really today is who do you trust?

00:32:12.724 --> 00:32:18.444
Do you trust the system and the king and the government, or do you trust God?

00:32:19.525 --> 00:32:21.295
And do you need a bunch of people?

00:32:21.625 --> 00:32:22.924
Or do you need God?

00:32:24.515 --> 00:32:28.035
Because the word will direct you, lead you, and guide you.

00:32:28.115 --> 00:32:29.654
And I don't need a bunch of folks.

00:32:30.075 --> 00:32:35.005
You can get with some people of like minded believers and et cetera.

00:32:35.404 --> 00:32:38.525
That I'm, I'll agree with you a hundred percent all day.

00:32:39.194 --> 00:32:44.704
But just getting with a bunch of folks that's trying to overthrow something, nah, not going to do it.

00:32:45.134 --> 00:32:46.535
And I would advise you not to do it either.

00:32:48.575 --> 00:32:49.535
I don't think that's wisdom.

00:32:49.744 --> 00:32:50.375
I just don't.

00:32:52.575 --> 00:32:53.394
You might not agree.
